Christmas Day

 Our friend, Lesley, gave us a cute family pillow.

 Aaron gave Emily a Build a Bear Darby.  She named him Angus.

 

Emily gave Aaron a new airsoft gun.

This was first thing this morning, 7:00 am.  We had our annual breakfast at 10:00 am.  The kids are starting to help make the yummy morning goodies.  In a couple of years they should be able to take charge of breakfast.

 For dinner we cooked our first prime rib.  It was yummy.

Christmas time

 Gramsy made us a new tree skirt this year.  We love it!!!

 Aaron put up the tree and lights this year.  He is quite the young man.

Dinner & the theatre...Lion King

 We have been looking forward to this night for months.  Aaron...not so much ;)

 We found a Japanese hibachi restaurant.  This was the onion volcano.

The musical was fabulous.  I would recommend it for everyone.  Maybe next time Aadam will go too.

Capitol field trip

It was a great day for a field trip.  Emily is one mile high.  This is one of the older markers.
This is the view from the dome.  The dome will be closed for 3 years.  We were glad we were able to get to the top.

We enjoyed the many stained glass windows.

Halloween 2011

My kids are the best. We had a great time.
Emily carved the 2 end pumpkins. Aaron carved the middle one. He is getting older and not into carving as much. He did an Apple icon.
We had a big crew this year.

First Day of School 2011

We can't believe we have a middle schooler. Aaron started 7th grade and Emily started 4th grade. I started a long term sub job in 5th grade.

Emily's birthday

We celebrated Emily's birthday while camping. She had a Blizzard at DQ after a wonderful mexican dinner in town.
We spent the day at the Old Town Hot Springs.

The hot springs were wonderful.

Camping vacation

We canoed all the way across and back.
We saw a double rainbow one afternoon.
Aaron gutted 2 fish that Les caught. Emily ate an eyeball of one fish after it was cooked. She just swallowed it.
We went canoeing on Hahn's Peak lake.


Aaron learned to drive a clutch motorcycle and Emily learned to drive a motorcycle.
Oops, Aadam forgot his bike.
Our campsite was very green, except for the pine beetle kill.

We went camping in the Steamboat Springs area for almost a week. It was a lot of fun.
